Tuesday, dont miss Oregon Health Forums breakfast seminar
on Oregons Senate Bill 1, passed into law last legislative session.
Our panel will address both quantitative and qualitative issues
surrounding the implementation of this law. Representing various
viewpoints, our speakers and moderator, Jonathan Ater of Ater Wynne
LLP, will provide a brief review of what this law entails and then
probe deeper into the fundamental implications of mental health parity. |
| Some
35 other states have implemented such laws to eliminate the gap between
physical and mental health care coverage. How will Oregon compare
when our parity law goes into effect January 1st? What effects
will be had for health plans, employers and providers? |
| Advocates
have worked tirelessly for over ten years to bring parity to the statutes,
and as we now move into implementation of this hard-earned law, education
is essential. Join us for a forum with a truly tangible human
theme. |
| Open
the attached flyer for a registration form and information on the
panel for next week. You can fax your registration to 503-226-7871,
reserve your seat online at www.healthforum.org,
or simply call our office at 503-226-7870. |
